Colour Crop is inspired by wheat and grain and images of bread that date back to ancient Egyptian times. It is a contemporary totem to the amazing planet that we inhabit, and a reminder that if we care for and respect the Earth it has the ability to sustain us for generations to come. The sculptural work is also a celebration of the 400 year anniversary of Worsbrough Mill, where the work is sited as a gateway piece to the Mill and Country Park.

Children from Worsbrough Common Primary School were involved in the early development of this artwork, their drawings of wheat and their colour choices were a catalyst for the final designs.
