Lenny And Whale

A collaboration between Artist Fabric Lenny and Creative Producer Katrina Whale

Here at Lenny and Whale we deliver colourful projects that culminate in playful artwork and interventions.  We love working with people, in the outdoors and in non-traditional art spaces, bringing the magic of creativity into the lives of people in a way that is ambitious and accessible.  We often use workshops as a starting point for gathering and developing visual ideas and themes which then evolve into distinctive pieces of artwork, shared and celebrated within the public domain.

We work with a trusted team of fabricators, creatives and makers to realise projects in a wide range of materials, forms and scales, always with an eye on engagement, sustainability and transformation. We are always keen to explore new ways of working, and love to learn and share new skills and approaches. We often make a conscious choice to work with makers and tradespeople who don’t necessarily align themselves with the ‘art world’ or a specific creative field. This approach offers up fresh ways of working and helps forge new and interesting collaborations.

Although much of our work is based in the physical world, we are also very interested in the digital and virtual realms. Much of our design process is informed by digital approaches using mobile and Virtual Reality (VR) technology. We also make engaging content using Augmented Reality (AR), video and animation.

We love to inject fun and colour into a range of environments and are very keen to share our approach and creativity through workshops, residencies and presentations.
