Colour Pop
Colour Pop is a playful celebration of the industrial and transport heritage that was once prevalent in Stairfoot, Barnsley.
These brightly painted and distressed telegraph poles with hand painted toppers have been strongly influenced by drawings and playdough models that were made by children at a local school, who studied photographic images of the long-gone canal and railway bridges. This artwork is part of the Principal Towns and the Stairfoot Ward Alliance’s initiative to enhance the identity of the Stairfoot Basin area, Barnsley.
